One of my favorite times of the year is the cherry blossom season. In this painting I like the view of being under-neigh the canopy looking up the trunk, often surprising the odd bird or two.

Luckily I live close to the west coast and all its wild beaches and rich bush reserves. It was on one of these bush walks high up in the hills that I came upon this scene and it reminded me of looking down into a deep clear spring, so many layers and textures. If only we had wings and could dive into this primordial world.
